Nurses Day in the Legislature

Overview
FHA is hosting the first annual FHA Nurses Day in the Legislature April 18-19, 2017. The event provides an opportunity for front-line nurse leaders to advocate on behalf of patients by sharing their knowledge and patient care experiences with policy makers. The two-day meeting will kick off with a networking reception, followed by a breakfast briefing the next morning where speakers will present an overview of the political landscape, the policy issues under consideration by the Legislature and key messages for legislative visits.

Dr. Raines will share information on the “Baptist Health Nurse Advocacy Experience”, and how other hospitals can create and organize their colleagues for advocacy.
