Ebola Virus Disease Updates and Resources

The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) continues to closely monitor events and information surrounding the Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak. The first case of Ebola virus disease (EVD) was reported in the United States on September 30. As the outbreak of Ebola virus disease in West Africa and travel between West Africa and the rest of the world continues, there is an increasing likelihood that more individuals with suspected Ebola will present to U.S. hospital emergency departments and that additional medical and other volunteers who have contracted Ebola will be brought to U.S. hospitals for treatment.

FHA has prepared a comprehensive list of new information, recommended action items, resources and guidance documents for hospitals to consider and distribute with hospital personnel and medical staff. View the FHA Ebola Preparedness Resource Web page.
