Yesterday, the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) honored recipients of the 2013 Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Awards. Held during the FHA Annual Meeting, the Celebration of Service Awards recognizes industry leaders who have contributed to the mission of delivering high quality health care. The awards focus on individual and team achievements and are selected by FHA leadership and a team of judges outside of Florida.
"It is my honor to congratulate all nominees and winners of this year's Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Awards," said Bruce Rueben, FHA president. "The hospitals and caregivers recognized are a testament to the increasing commitment of providers all around our state to deliver the highest quality care to their patients and communities."
The Spirit of Advocacy Award was renamed this year, in honor of Ralph Glatfelter, longtime health care advocate. Glatfelter served as senior vice president of the FHA for 35 years.
