FHA Political Committee

The Florida Hospital Association Political Committee (FHAPC) was established to organize political action on behalf of Florida's hospitals. FHAPC is a voluntary, non-profit and non-partisan organization regulated by the Florida Department of Elections.

Mission of the FHAPC

To promote and protect access to quality health care throughout Florida by supporting candidates at the state and federal level that advocate for Florida's hospitals and health care systems.

Your Contributions to the FHAPC

Your contribution will support Florida candidates that are committed to public policy that advances the best interests of Florida's health care delivery system. Additionally, your support will assist in educating elected officials on the vast impact that policy considerations have on health care delivery throughout the state. Each donation will help us elevate and galvanize the collective and unified voice for all of Florida's hospitals.

Contributing to the FHAPC is Easy

Federal Contributions

The Florida Hospital Association works with the American Hospital Association Political Action Committee (AHAPAC) to support federal campaigns. AHA has donor clubs to recognize its contributors and accepts matching donations to the FHAPC towards those club levels. For instance, if you contribute $500 to the AHAPAC and $500 to the FHAPC, the AHA will recognize you at the $1,000 donor level.

If you are interested in contributing to the AHAPAC, that portion must come from separate personal checks from senior personnel at eligible FHA member hospitals. Checks should be made out to the Florida Hospital Association and sent to:

Reporting Requirements

All contributions to FHAPC are voluntary and you may choose not to contribute. Any amount given, or the decision not to give, will not advantage or disadvantage you. Contributions or gifts to the FHAPC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. FHAPC is required to report the name and mailing address of every contributor as well as the occupation and employer of all contributors whose contributions exceed $100 in a calendar year.
